FAITH hosted a FAITH Founders’ Meeting and Luncheon at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to welcome His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to NYC. In 2009, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew made his 6th visit to the United States between Oct. 17 and Nov. 5, beginning in Memphis, Tenn., leading his Eighth International Environmental Symposium, this time addressing the needs of the Mississippi River. During his time in New York, he met with several key religious and political leaders.
During the event at the Met, His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew had the opportunity to view the various sacred artifacts found in the Michael and Mary Jaharis Byzantine Gallery.
