In the spirit of the Valentine's holiday, we'd like to share some of the kind words, love and appreciation our FAITH Scholars have expressed for the support and community FAITH has provided and the inspiration and example our Founders have established.
Enjoy!
Reece Hughes
FAITH-STEM Scholar '20
"This year, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work as a vet tech in a local animal hospital, and I believe none of this would have been possible without the support of FAITH. Thank you for all you do in the Greek community. Your generosity is an inspiration to all.”
Reece is a sophomore majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife Science at the University of Georgia. She is a research assistant for the plant biology department, volunteers with the equestrian therapeutic riding program and promotes sustainability practices across her campus.
Peter Bazianos
FAITH-STEM Scholar '21
“Thank you for believing in my potential as a Greek leader in the field of renewable energy. It is an incredible honor to join the prestigious FAITH STEM Scholar network - a network full of inspiring leaders across all fields who give back to the Hellenic and Greek communities in profound ways."
Peter is a freshman majoring in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He is active in the Engineering Student Activities Council, Wharton Undergraduate Energy Group and the Hellenic Club.
Kyra Limberakis
FAITH Fellow SLTA '21
"The SLTA program was the most comprehensive and practical leadership training I've experienced thus far in my professional development. A cohort of other Orthodox leaders made for an incredibly supportive and inspiring learning environment. It has given me the tools to propel Orthodox Volunteer Corps into reality.”
Kyra, the director of Hellenic College’s CrossRoad Summer Institute, further developed the Orthodox Volunteer Corps (OVC) at the 2021 SLTA session. The OVC is launching this year. This program invests a year in Orthodox young adults to prepare them for a lifetime of service. For more information, visit the website here.
