Steven Jaharis, MD, was born in Elkhart, Indiana and lived there until his family moved to New York City. He attended the Archdiocesan Cathedral School and later attended the Trinity School. Steven received his Bachelors Degree from Haverford College and his Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine; he completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Jaharis is a family medical practitioner at Winnetka Family Medicine. Town and Country magazine has honored Dr. Jaharis by naming him one of the top family practitioners in the country. He serves as a Director on the Board of Arisaph Pharmaceuticals and has served on the Board of Kos Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Jaharis sits on the Jaharis Family Foundation’s Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Overseers to the School of Medicine at Tufts University and the Board of Managers at Haverford College, and has long supported the College philanthropically through programs such as one that enables pre-med students to provide medical care to underserved populations.
Dr. Jaharis is married to Elaine Jaharis (nee Kondelis) and they have three children.
